Milling/Profiling
Milling removes the top layer of asphalt with the use of specialized equipment. Tollestrup Construction Inc. continues this process with the recycling of these materials in new asphalt, road base, road fill and other applications.
Milling is used to rehabilitate roadways, paths and parking lots where the pavement is distressed or has failed. Milling and profiling is frequently used in pavement maintenance where a portion of the existing asphalt pavement is removed prior to the application of a new top lift of asphalt. This process is commonly referred to as mill and inlay.
